I walk because I know that with every step, I am saving lives.
We're all tied to heart disease and stroke in some way. We have to change that. Will you help me?
Your donation will fund groundbreaking research that literally keeps hearts beating and helps people have longer, healthier lives.
This year, as we celebrate the Centennial of the American Heart Association, we will move health and well-being forward in important and critical ways. This relentless pursuit will continue until heart disease and stroke no longer exist.
My dad passed away in 2019 due to heart complication among a few other things...so I say I walk this walk in memory of him. I should also note, some may not know this...2 of my Triplets are subject to heart disease. When they were born the doctors noticed extremely high Triglyceride levels in the boys, so for context, the normal levels for kids between 10yo - 19yo, should be below 90, for adult males the levels should be below 150...when blood work was run on my 12-day old babies Grays levels where 816, and Dills was 619, so there's that...no one can really explain "WHY" they have such high levels, it's a mystery, but I digress...they have to see a cardiologist every 2 years now, and the levels have significantly decreased over the years, but even at their last check (Age 7) their levels were still in the 200's. It is my hope that they continue to decrease, but who knows what possible future damage its caused to this point. But these are the reason's I walk this year. Please donate if you are able ~ All my Love
