Why I Walk
As some of you know, I lost my dad to a heart attack at a very young age. Though he received CPR, it couldn’t overcome the heart disease he battled for years.
I walk to live a healthier life, to set an example for my daughter, and to be present for her far beyond the 11 short years I had with my dad.
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this.
