I walk because I know that with every step, I am saving lives.
We're all tied to heart disease and stroke in some way. We have to change that. Will you help me?
The day I learned about my mother's first stroke was both devastating and frightening. I am incredibly grateful she is a survivor, despite facing partial disability and impaired speech. I often wish I had superpowers to heal her completely.
Until that day comes, I remain hopeful that organizations like the American Heart Association will continue their unwavering commitment to researching ways to prevent strokes and improve treatments for those affected by heart disease. We all wish for our loved ones to be at their best and free from suffering. It is an honor to participate in the Atlanta Heart Walk, raising funds for such a crucial cause.
Have a heart and help me reach my goal today.
