This precious guy is our reason. He's among the 1% each year born with this particular type of birth defect, a congenital heart defect (CHD). And while he had what's known as a critical congenital heart defect, requiring immediate heart surgery, he's also among the #HeartWarriors going strong and embodying the joie de vivre.
