In Memory of Baby Hudson J. Hargroder
Precious Hudson J. Hargroder lost his brave battle with heart failure on January 2, 2022, at only six months old.
Lovingly nicknamed their “miracle baby,” little Hudson was born to Kyle and Lindsey (Lato) Hargroder on June 21, 2021. He is the little brother to 3-year-old Laurel.
In December, Baby Hudson was diagnosed with heart failure caused by acute viral myocarditis. He bravely struggled through multiple procedures through a 30-day hospital battle. His fighting spirit will forever be an inspiration to us all.
During his six short months, Hudson showed his family and friends love in everlasting ways. He enjoyed being entertained by his big sister, being snuggled by his mommy, taking rides outside with his daddy, and snuggling with his stuffed alligator. His blue eyes, expressive eyebrows, and sweet smile are eternally imprinted in our minds and on our hearts.
We are grateful for the outstanding care provided by the compassionate caregivers of the Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Ochsner Hospital for Children, specifically, the nurses, ECMO specialists, doctors, and child life specialists.
This fundraiser in Baby Hudson’s memory supports the American Heart Association’s life-saving research and hopefully, soon, will make more stories of survival possible for families like the Hargroders. Thank you for your support.
