In 2008, at the age of 12, Ashley was diagnosed with Familial Dilated Cardiomyopathy, a genetic form of heart disease. It has affected many indiviuals on Ashley's dad's side of the family including her dad and sister who both have heart transplants. At the age of 15, she was diagosed with Congestive Heart Failure. If you saw Ashley and did not know she had this condition, you would have never imagined. She never complained and lived her life to the fullest!
