I walk because I know that with every step, I’m making a difference in not only my life, but also someone else's life.  I am one of the nearly HALF American adults that suffer from high blood pressure.  Through medication, regular exercise, and a balanced diet I work everyday to control my numbers.  

Back in 2019, I decided to get into running after a pretty heavy 3 year post college athlete lull and a significant decrease to regular exercise.  Even with ups and downs on my running journey thus far it has really helped me take back control of my routine and blood pressure numbers.  Since then, I have done two 5k's, three 10k's, three half marathons, and am currently training for my first full marathon that will happen in January 2023.
