We Walk to Save Lives!
2022 Greater Atlanta Heart Walk
Work & Family Life
My Why: In the summer of 2018, I set out on a rigorous workout routine of extreme strength training and cardio. After attending a great uncle's funeral in the fall of that year, I felt under the weather. On the way home, I stopped at a minute clinic. The physician there informed me that I did not have a cold but an irregular EKG and high blood pressure.
I immediately thought, "I never have high blood pressure and what is an EKG--it had to be wrong."
I ordered to call my family and go to the hospital. Several tests were ran. There ere no blockages but however, I was informed that I was born with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.
Now, I eat better and exercise smarter. Not only do I do it for myself, and family, but for those who can't. I share my experience with others and encourage them to live a healthy lifestyle.
My ask is that you join me to inspire others in their journey.
Heart disease is still the no. 1 killer in our nation and stroke ranks no. 2 worldwide. You could do something to change that.
We are walking together - not only for our own health, but also for yours. And for the health of our parents, our children, and our grandchildren.
The Heart Walk is a time of celebration, joy, and inspiration. It's also an event where people work together to support one single goal - to create a world free of heart disease and stroke.
Be a heart hero. Be a relentless force. Be a part of an unstoppable team. Join us now and together we will help save lives.
