JD was born in March 2022 with severe heart defects that required surgical intervention at 13 days old. He was not diagnosed until after birth, something all too common in the CHD community. His diagnosis is tetralogy of fallot with absent pulmonary valve (TOF/APV) as well as a right aortic arch. His TOF is now "repaired" and thanks to an organ donor, he has a functioning pulmonary valve. JD will require another open heart surgery and several cath lab procedures in his future.
