Life is Why! Join me and support the AHA!
Participating in the Heart Walk is a great way to get some physical activity, and helps to promote healthy decision making.
As a scientist, heart disease has always been part of my professional focus. My research studies the mechanisms of atrial fibrillation (AF) and seeks to identify new targets to prevent AF or slow its progression.
Several years ago, heart disease became a personal issue for me. I had quintuple bypass surgery in May 2017. I have recovered and am still actively pursuing my research goals - and those of the AHA. My experience in cardiac rehab helped to shape a clinical trial that we are doing with AHA support.
Working out makes us fit. Working together, we can make healthier, longer lives possible for everyone. Thanks in advance for your support!
