I’m not just walking. I’m Heartwalking. I walk so that my daughter will understand that life will be about more than her heart condition. I walk so that my family, friends and I can all can learn more about making healthier choices and have access to research and medical advances. When we visit the doctor, I can see the AHA logo on the items we are given to learn and practice with for healthier hearts.

If you know us, you know her story. Congenital Complete Heart Block. Five days after her birth she was given a pacemaker at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. She overcame heart failure in her first year of life. She's already received her first replacement surgery.
She knows she is a heart warrior and survivor. Bravery doesn't even cut it when you think about what she's overcome.
"This is my heartwalk and my heart day," she says and we invite you to support it.
