Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death. \u200b
About 1 in 6 deaths in the United States is due to a stroke. Coronary heart disease is the most common type of heart disease killing approximately 375,476 people annually. We can change this.
It's time to unite, take action, and save lives. Every walker who joins, every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone. \u200b
I Walk to Save Lives and in memory of my Dad, Stephen Balaz, who passed away from complications of stroke; and , in memory of my uncle,Jerry Hershberger, who passed away from complications related to Agent Orange congestive heart failure.
