My dad was a 14 year stroke survivor and suffered from the horrendous side effects but had the best spirit and sense of humor. I will walk, run and skip to raise money for the American Heart Association in honor of him. He passed away just after the Heart Walk last year and I am determined to raise more money and walk farther then last year!
I walk because I know that with every step, I’m making a difference in someone’s life. And when combined with a million other Heart Walk Heroes across the nation, we have an even greater impact toward curing heart disease and stroke.
The challenge is on – Create a team, join my team, but let’s be apart of something special and make a difference!
