I am a survivor! I had a cardiac arrest on May 5, 2018 - and I beat the odds and survived! This led to a heart transplant on January 27, 2019! I am blessed beyond words and so very grateful for my donor and their family for a selfless choice they made in their time of heart ache. For obvious reasons, American Heart Association is near and dear to my heart!

9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this. \u200b
