Supporting the American Heart Association is important to me because I was born with two heart defects. Mitral Valve Prolapse, MVP, which is a leaky valve found in 1 and 4 people, Wolfe Parkinson White Syndrome, WPW, which affects 1 in 1000 people. A normal heart has one electrical signal that triggers the heart to be beat, I was born with two, the main symptom of WPW. Due to the work of the AHA I was able to have heart surgery that effectively fixed my WPW and greatly increased my quality of life. Please consider joining my team to walk and/or donating to the AHA.
