May 2,2022 our lives changed forever when Tony had a stroke. But luckily the doctor recognized that the kind of stroke he had, he could not receive tPA and needed immediate intervention. Within 20 minutes of calling 911, he was in a helicopter being flown to UC Medical Center, our local stroke center where his doctors saved his life. Now, after a lot of hard work, he’s walking, using his left arm and talking with minimal difficulty. All things his doctors were hopeful he would regain, but not certain.
