I was born with Pulmonary Valve Stenosis and Atrial Septal Defect. At 1 month old, I had a surgical procedure called a valvuloplasty to open my pulmonary valve. Because of the research that went in to the care I've received all of these years, I am able to live a normal life. This research for heart disease is stroke is funded by events like the Heart Mini. This is why our team has been participating in the Heart Mini for 25 years and raising funds for the amazing work of the American Heart Association.
Throughout the years we have met many people who walk for their own loved ones. We have also realized how prominent of an issue it is. My sister, grandparents, my uncle and many other family members and friends have been affected by heart disease and stroke. For this reason, we keep walking.
Please take an active role by joining our team on March 17, 2024 and/or donating today.
Our team will be walking at Winton Woods at 11 AM instead of downtown. If you would like to walk with our team, register for a virtual race by February 20th to receive your shirt by mail.
Thank you!
