Who is team Owen?! Team Owen was originally formed after our son Owen James had open heart surgery at 2 months old and we heard the heart mini in Cincinnati was coming up. We bought shirts to help create awareness for Heart Health for Owen and for any other family and friends. Since then so much has happened. Owen did well with his heart surgery but suffered with breathing and feeding complications post surgery. Owen had a total of 11 surgeries and fought so hard. Owen at a few weeks old was diagnosed with Charge Syndrome, and let me tell you these chargers are fighters and stronger than you could ever imagine!
At 87 days old, Owen took his last breathe on earth.
To us, Team Owen is a family that wants to create awareness for heart health, charge syndrome and infant deaths. We want to help others with support, courage and awareness.
Owen may not be on earth anymore but he has affected so many lives and we want to keep his memory alive!
Team Owen wants to be out and around spreading the word of Owen and raising awareness. We have completed 2 Heart Mini's in Cincinnati, 2 March of Dimes walks (Owen was a premie, born 6 weeks early), volunteer at Ronald McDonald house (were I lived while Owen was in the hospital), and anything else we can do to pay it forward, support others and let Owen's strength shine through us.
Thank you in advance for your support!
