As you know, I have a genetic disorder that causes my body to make too much cholesterol. This, in turn, caused me to have a heart attack at an early age. My kids have this genetic disorder, and they are at high risk for heart disease. I am running to raise money to keep them from having to go through what I have. That is why I named the team what I did. They are my Heart and my Soul!  I am also running to celebrate my first anniversary of the heart attack. I celebrate this as I now have a new perspective on life and my health.
