For nearly 16 years, I've had the opportunity to work for the mission of the American Heart Association. I am reminded daily the impact that heart disease and strokes have on our families and communities. From a family history of heart disease & stroke to friends who have survived strokes and heart issues, it is personal. But I am not the only one as heart disease and stroke claim more lives in the United States than all forms of cancer combined. Our work funds education, CPR guidelines, advancements in science, systems of care and so much more.
