I walk for my Grand-mama Carol Allman - she grew up in proverty without adequate healthcare until well into her adulthood, and by then the damage to her body had been done.
She had her first heartattack in her 30's and I remember her taking her 'heart pills' my entire life. We lost her my senior year in high school - and I know we could have had more time if her early childhood would have been different. I miss her every single day and know she would have adored all of these grandbabies she never got to meet.
Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death.
It's time to unite, take action, and save lives. Every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
I Walk to Save Lives. Help me reach my goal today.
