I walk because I know that with every step, I’m making a difference in someone’s life. And when combined with a million other Heart Walk Heroes across the nation, we have an even greater impact toward curing heart disease and stroke. Will you be a Heart Walk Hero with me?
Your donation will fund groundbreaking research that literally keeps hearts beating and helps people have longer, healthier lives.
Have a heart and help me reach my goal today!
I can't believe the2025 Heart Walk will be here in a couple of months. Seems like the older I get the faster time passes by. I had surgery in January to repair my broken leg that wouldn't or rather couldn't heal. New rod, screws and a plate the length of my femur to reinforce the bone. Hope this does the trick.
I have a new rollator that has all terrain tires. This baby can go over curbs, tree roots you name it. It is amazing. Will be so good for this year's Heart Walk through the Flats. This can prove to be somewhat difficult but this rollator is up for anything and so am I!!!
My family will again be walking with me. Our team is Monney Talks...Hearts Walk. Pretty catchy if I do say so myself.
As many of you are familiar with my story I will just give the Cliff Notes version. I originally got involved in the heart walks because in 2005 my Mom passed away from a stroke and heart attack due to atrial fib.
Long story short...Stroke in 2010. Several cardioversions. Cardiac arrest in 2016. Four cardiac ablations. Atrial fib is no joke! Scary especially when you don't feel it happening.
I am so grateful for all the cardiac advances that have happened over the years to get me to where I am now. Also the basics, the CPR that was life saving for me!!!
I am here today in part because of the American Heart Association!!!
If you are able please consider donating to this most worthy cause. I appreciate your generosity. Please help me reach my goal or even better exceed it. Thanks again your generosity is greatly appreciated!!!
