Queridos Amigos y Conocidos,
This is my first year with the American Heart Association, and also my first time learning about the Heart Walk in Cleveland. Like many Hispanic families, mine has been deeply affected by heart disease. My fraternal grandmother, the only grandmother I ever knew, died at the age of 68 from cardiac arrest. I was just 8 years old, and her loss was a profound sadness for me.
I share my story to bring awareness to a cause that affects millions worldwide, transcending age, gender, religion, and social background. Vamos a caminar! Let's walk for those who have been affected by coronary disease, for the lives we've lost, and for those we can still save. Prevention is the key.
We are all connected to heart disease and stroke in some way, and we need to change that. Will you help me? Join me on Saturday, September 28 at 9:00 a.m. for a walk in the Flats. Bring your loved ones, including your dogs, and let's walk together.
Your donation will fund groundbreaking research that keeps hearts beating and helps people live longer healthier lives.
Gracias por tu apoyo!
I hope to see you there❤
