Greetings, Friends!
The American Heart Association has been a part of my life for many years. Personally, I have lost both of my parents to Heart Disease.
In 2007, I lost my beautiful Mother to a stroke due to AFib. She was youthful and full of life, even thought she received the AFib diagnosis early in adulthood.
Just over 3 years later, I lost my dear Father due to, in the end, congestive heart failure. After a quadruple bypass and valve replacement, we spent a lot of time in hospitals over the years.
After losing my parents, I decided to go to work for American Heart Association to be able to help raise money for education and research, so that other people could possibly avoid the years of pain and procedures that my parents endured, and the losses that my family endured.
I have been involved with many Heart Walks in IL and in other states, and I ask that others consider participating through involvement in the walks, and donations to keep the fight going to end heart disease!
Thank you for giving!
Jennifer
