We lost our mom to arteriosclerosis cardiovascular disease. Although women do experience chest pain with a heart attack, they are more likely than men to experience less specific more subtle symptoms such as: anxiety, back pain, difficulty sleeping, nausea & indigestion, and severe fatigue. 

 

Many people (especially women) delay seeking treatment because they don't know the signs. The sooner you receive treatment, the less damage to your heart.

 

We walk in honor of our mom, Vikki. We also remember loved ones we've lost to heart attack or stroke. And last but not least, we honor the survivors.
