I'm participating with others at ADP in the American Heart Association's Heart Walk on Sept 27th. Heart Health is near and dear to me for many reasons: my Dad passed away from a heart disease related complication, several years ago a dear associate died at work from a massive heart attack while I was holding his hand and praying outloud with him (CPR was being performed by another dear friend until EMS arrived), my beautiful Anna has a mild heart condition...I could go on and on.
Did you know, 9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this.
Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death.
It's time to unite, take action, and save lives. Every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
I Walk to Save Lives. No pressure, but if you feel compelled to help me reach my goal, I'll gladly accept a donation under my name for the ADP Heart Walk team.
