You probably know us from our Geocaching videos posted on our social medias. Geocaching is one of our favorite hobbies that we get to share for your enjoyment. We encourage everybody to get outside, explore, and even try geocaching for themselves... but not everybody is fortunate enough to. It can be physically demanding, requiring one to have a healthy heart.
We were contacted by a fellow Geocacher, named Tom Learned, and were told about his battle with heart problems... so much so, that he needed a quadruple bypass surgery. We're thankful Tom fought hard and for all the medical professionals that saved his life. Tom found strength through Geocaching. It helps him stay active and connect with nature. Tom since has advocated for awareness of heart problems, encouraging everyone who suffers to fight hard and to be active just like him by simply going for a walk.
Tom has inspired us to promote his message/story. We Geocachers are a tight community, always being there for one another when we can. If you, or you know someone who suffers from a heart condition, it is important we raise awareness and do whatever we can to help. Join us and the American Heart Association in the fight for everyone to have a healthy heart. Every donation makes a major difference in someone's life!
