Heart disease, cardiac arrest, and stroke can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time. My family experienced that reality in October 2025 when my dad—just one day before turning 70—underwent open-heart surgery for a triple bypass following a cardiac event he had suffered earlier.
Sadly, my Dad didn't have much time after the surgery to recover, and he was unable to bounce back. He passed in March 2026.
I walk to support the research, education, and lifesaving work that gives families hope. I walk for stronger hearts, better recoveries, and more time together.
I walk for my Dad's memory and to prevent congestive heart failure.
