In 2015, my twin brother Ryan suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. I was the one who found him, alone and unconscious, and had to perform CPR. Miraculously, he survived and in 2025 we celebrated our 25-year class reunion weekend together. To this day, doctors still don’t know what caused it. Because it’s likely genetic, both Ryan and I now live with implanted cardiac defibrillators (ICDs). The American Heart Association helps fund the research that could uncover answers not just for us, but for other families who may not even know they’re at risk yet.
That’s why I’m asking you to act today.
