PAUL IS A SURVIVOR!!
Paul suffered a heart attack 13 years ago. With the help of Medic EMS Scott County, he was brought to the hospital in time to get help. This year, March 2026, he had to have quadruple bypass surgery as Coronary Artery Disease took a toll on his heart. We are blessed to have the University of Iowa Healthcare and the expertise of the doctors. We are blessed that Paul is recovering well and we continue to live a long and healthy life together.
We walk to save lives and to bring support for more research and technology as this disease continues with many. We also want everyone to know CPR and be able to save a life.
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this. Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death.
It's time to unite, take action, and save lives. Every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
I Walk to Save Lives. Help me reach my goal today.
