Heart emergencies don’t just happen to people in news stories, they happen to families like mine. My mom is a stroke survivor and has experienced multiple blood clots throughout her body, my sister suffered from a blood clot at a young age, and my mom's dad, my hero, "Pappy," died of heart failure. Watching the people I love face these life-threatening conditions has shown me just how real and urgent heart and vascular health truly are.
Cardiac arrests can happen anywhere and the community readiness can mean the difference between life and death.
That’s why I’m walking with the American Heart Association: to help fund lifesaving research, expand training knowledge through the community, and ensure more families get the second chances mine has been given. Every dollar donated helps turn bystanders into lifesavers.
I Walk to Save Lives. Help me reach my goal today.
