Our family has been lucky to not have many cancer or heart issues, other than skin cancer for many of us. In the past four years I have been battling cardio sarcoid (which is now identified as a cancer), lung sardoid, and sarcoidosis since 2009 while serving on active duty before retiring in 2010. This has impacted my life significantly, but I refuse to sit back and let it take control. In the past fifteen years I have had 18 major surgeries, some for things due to sarcoidosis, and some from damage during my 36 years of military.
I have stepped forward as a Heart Survivor, receiving chemo for the past four years, went inactive for six months in 2025, but am back active again. The impact physically and mentally sometimes becomes a burden, but I always say "Charge On!" and never give up.
I Walk to Save Lives. Help me reach my goal today as part of the VFW Post 508 Team for Veterans and all with Heart difficulties. Thanks,
Bob Felderman
