9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this. Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death. Spreading awareness, education, and early identification of cardiac events are something we can all do!
My hope in joining this walk is to help advocate for awareness and represent the lifesavers - our nurses, doctors, therapists, aids, etc. that work tirelessly to help save lives. As both a representative of Henry Ford Wyandotte and Shirley Ryan AbilityLab; this fundraiser helps fund our joint goals = to improve people's lives. Any support is appreciated!
Plus, I am doing this walk 8 1/2 months pregnant and accepting sympathy donations as well. LOL.
