My plan is to participate in 5 - 5K's this year, one of which is for the American Heart and Stroke Association, which is a fundraiser.

I'd like to spread awareness of Ischemic Strokes.  Approximately 30% of ischemic strokes are without known cause.   Approximately 25% of stroke survivors will experience a second stroke, with the risk being highest in the first few years.   10% of those being in the first year following a stroke, and 30% within the first 5 years.
