9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this.

 

I’m walking the Heart Walk with a purpose that lives deep in my heart. My one-year-old daughter, Iya, has Long QT Syndrome, and she inspires me in ways I never knew were possible.

I’m walking for her. For her strength, her courage, and the way she keeps going no matter what she faces. She is the strongest baby I know, and every step I take is for her.

I’m also walking for every child, every parent, and every family living with a heart condition. For the ones who carry silent fears, for the nights filled with worry, for the appointments, the unknowns, and the strength it takes just to keep going. You are seen, you are not alone, and your fight matters.

I walk with love, with hope, and with faith that one day things will be better for all of our babies
