On my mothers side of the family for the past several genertions, all of the adult males have perished due to heart disease prior to the age of 60. Additionally, my dad has battled Atrial Fibribulation since his early 60's and had open heart surgery to replace a heart valve in his mid 60's. 

From a work perspective, several members of my team are Heart Survivors.  These people are integral to our work family and I am thankful for life saving research of the AHA and more importantly to the success of their doctors and surgeons.

I walk  to provide for my personal and work families, and because I know that with every step, I’m making a difference in someone’s life.
