Four years ago I had a massive stroke. I had no idea what was happening, but I never thought it was a stroke. It took less than 7 seconds to lose all ability to speak. If not for the quick thinking and the Stroke protocol we learn at Summa and my fast acting roommate, I was able to reach the hospital in time for the Stroke Team to save my life.
This was an insane crazy ride that scared me beyond anything I've ever experience and I never want to go through it again or have anyone else go through it either.
To this day they don't know why I had the stroke, but I am grateful for the education and the extremely fast acting people that saved my life.
