I am Maverick, a heart warrior. I have a very rare and special heart that is very complex. I have had 4 open heart surgeries before the age of 3, pacemaker and I am now 5 years old and graduated Pre-k.
Having CHD has not been easy for me or my fellow heart warriors. Donating to these walks helps funds so kids like me can get care and maybe even understand better our CHD's, since there are so many, and treat our condition better.
My hope is one day for babies and families to not have to go through what we have had to go through because the funding will be so great, they find a cure.
My heart issues will always be. There is no cure and one day I'll need a transplant. My fight will be every day for the rest of my days. Would love a cure so other won't have to fight daily like I have to. Can be exhausting for myself and my family.
