2026 Northeast Ohio Heart Walk
We Walk for Lisa
Lisa moved through life, with kindness, a strong faith, and a sense of responsibility to support and care for others. Her smile and positivity were contagious. Lisa always saw the good in people and put others first, whether it was her family, friends, volunteers or survivors. Shewas honest, supportive, thoughtful, and genuine with a subtle sense of humor and an unforgettable laugh.
Lisa’s Northeast Ohio team describes her as one of the most empathetic and caring leaders they’ve ever worked for. They describe her as selfless, a listening ear, extraordinarily thoughtful, dedicated and bright. They will remember her for her courage, kindness, and empathy.
And we can’t forget Lisa’s style! Whether in person or on a virtual call, Lisa always dressed to impress!
Lisa was so passionate about our mission, the impact we make in our community, the relationships she had with our staff team and our amazing volunteers. She loved her work at the American Heart Association, and she truly lived the mission, teaching Zumba classes, walking, exercising, and inspiring others to do the same.
Lisa held many roles during her time at the American Heart Association. She helped launch the community impact model in our markets and was one of the first CI Directors hired nationally and, in our region. She led communications and marketing efforts for much of her career, starting in the Akron and Canton markets, moving to the Cleveland market, and then having responsibility across the Great Rivers region. Lisa was promoted to Executive Director in Northeast Ohio in March 2023.
Lisa was one of a kind and will be missed by us all. She was a bright light to all who knew her and had a strong, unwavering faith. Lisa was a blessing to us all.
