We walk to honor and celebrate Al and Rod, who were known for many years as Goober and Gomer...although, we were never sure who was who!

 

We are doing this to honor Al, who suffered an unexpected heart attack and passed away in 2015. He left a huge mark on the world and is missed every day.

 

We are also doing this to celebrate Rod, who has worked his way back from both a massive intracerebral hemorrhagic stroke in 2021 and severe aortic blood clots, leading to bilateral above-the-knee amputations in 2022/2023.

 

We can never share enough thanks to all of those who played a part in these journeys. While there are still many steps to take, this walk will be a way to give back and provide help and support to those who find themselves on a similar journey.
