I walk in memory of my youngest child Melissa Catherine Meder , who passed in 2008.

In 2007 we walked in honor of my husband, who had survived a major heart attack in 2002. Melissa asked me to promise that we would walk every year for her dad. She only got to participate in 2 walks before she was gone, as she had her own heart issues. We did not know we would lose her so quickly. So I walk as promised. 

I have survived 2 TIAs and have congested Heart failure, so I walk as promised.
