I'm walking in memory of my grandfather, who died from a heart attack in his 30s-someone I never had the privilege of knowing. His story has stayed with me, and in my work as an occupational therapist, I see every day how cardiac events can change lives in an instant. That's why I'm passionate about empowering people through education and training so that when a crisis happens, someone nearby can step in and make a difference. I'm walking to honor his memory and to help build a community where more lives are saved.
