My father, who in so many ways has helped me to become the person I am today, suffers from a wide number of heart-related issues, having undergone multiple bypass surgeries, mitral valve replacement, and is currently wearing a pacemaker. His cardiologist doesn't feel that his heart could handle any more surgery in his life, barring something lifesaving, so I truly don't know how many more years he has on this Earth anymore. So I walk for him and for others who, now or in the future, face life-threatening health concerns. I walk to help fuel research into better medicines, more efficient treatments, and advances in technology. I walk to help save a life.
I thank you for your help and support, whether it's donating, sharing, or even just cheering me on. It means more to me than you know.
