2026 Greater Omaha Heart & Stroke Walk
Tyler's Legacy Lap
Tyler was the kind of person who made life feel lighter just by being in it. He always had the best jokes, the kind that caught you off guard, but had you laughing like no other. He could make anyone laugh, no matter the moment, and that was just one of the many ways he showed love. He was an incredible husband, dad, son, brother, and the kind of friend everyone hopes to have.
At just 33 years old, Tyler’s life was cut tragically short by Giant Cell Myocarditis, a rare and aggressive heart condition that most people have never heard of and is not diagnosed until after death. There was no time to prepare for losing him. He was here one day then gone the next. Leaving a massive hole in everyone's heart.
But Tyler’s story is so much bigger than how we lost him.
His legacy lives in the love he gave, and in the family and friends who carry his memory forward every single day. It lives on in the laughter we still hear, the love we still feel, and the way he continues to shape our lives even now.
This fundraiser is about honoring Tyler’s life, raising awareness, and supporting research so that other families don’t have to face this kind of heartbreak without answers.
Because Tyler mattered and his legacy will continue to live on.
