2026 Greater Omaha Heart & Stroke Walk
Hearts for Tracy
My personal story:
At 12 years old, I experienced my father at 49 years young endure a complete life changing heart attack. Furthermore, sadly but happily, I, Tracy the coach of team Hearts for Tracy am a survivor of Cardiovascular Disease.
At 26, and living my best life and believing I was in good health, I was diagnosed with a ventricular tachycardia arrhythmia and for 15 years was subjected to a medication therapy to live. While I survived that, life was never the same for me, Fast forward to two years ago, and after a brief bout with Covid 19, out of the blue comes a diagnosis of Diastolic Dysfunction. With all of that, thankfully, that was NOT how my story ended! Because of the American Heart Association and being blessed with great medical professionals, which included what I believe were (and still are) two of the best electrophysiologists, I'm here to share my story and to continue bringing awareness of Cardiovascular Disease (CVD).
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for WOMEN in the United States. In 2023 433,254 females passed away due to cardiovascular disease. That’s an unbelievable number so I asked you to help me and the American Heart Association help combat this.
