On March 15, 2026, I’ll be running the Heart Mini 5K in Cincinnati, Ohio in support of the American Heart Association — for my family, and for all families affected by heart disease.
Heart disease is deeply personal to me.
My father died from cor pulmonale at just 51 years old, and my brother passed away from aortic stenosis at only 40. Losing them so young was devastating and forever changed my life. Their lives — and their losses — are the reason this cause matters so much to me.
This race also holds special meaning for another reason. My birthday is March 18, and for the past 14 years, I’ve chosen to mark this time not with celebration alone, but with purpose. Running this race has become my way of honoring life, remembering those I’ve lost, and giving back in a way that truly matters.
I run for my father.
I run for my brother.
And I run for everyone whose heart is still fighting.
By supporting my run, you are helping the American Heart Association:
- Fund life-saving research
- Improve prevention and early detection
- Support patients and families navigating heart disease
Every donation — no matter the size — helps turn loss into action and hope into progress.
Thank you for supporting my run, for honoring my family, and for helping save lives.
