Saving lives
Hi friends!! Most of you know I taught First Aid/CPR/AID at Cintas for over 6 years; during that time I learned the importance of all the AHA does to save lives. Countless lives have been saved/impacted by the AHA and I have been honored to hear some of those stories and to play a part in a few of them through the training I provivded to equipt people.
What you may not know is that my passion for CPR began long before I sarted my career at Cintas. My mom worked at a dacare for years and loved the kids she took care of. One day, a little boy named Andrew stopped breathing. My mom and her coworkers performed CPR until paramedics arrived, saving his life. Several years later my mom passed away, but that daycare had a memorial service her and I got the chance to meet Andrew and his mother. She told me her little boy was alive today becasue my mom and her coworkers were trained in CPR!
The AHA and their mission continues to be near and dear to my heart, whether it is CPR/AED training, research, or educational seminars, their goal is to improve health and save lives!
Please consider joining me at the Heart Walk this year! Or you can sign up for the virtual walk or run. You may also make a simple donation of any amount if you do not want to participate in the race. Together we can save lives!
