My daughter Oakley was diagnosed prenatally with many Congenital Heart Defects. â??At 6 days old, she had her 1st open heart surgery. Before she was a month old she had her 1st catherization. Again at 4 months old she had her 2nd cath, and then at 6 months old had her 2nd open heart surgery. Finally, just before turning 1 she had her 3rd cath. Oakley will be followed by Cardiology her whole life, and although she is perfect and thriving right now, we eventually will have to have more interventions. Thanks to our wonderful God and Oakleys wonderful care team at children's she is in a very good place right now. We still have our issues with weight gain, but I think we just have a very petite little girl on our hands. Oakley is my main reason why I walk.
It's time to unite, take action, and save lives. Every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.â??
I Walk to Save Lives. Help me reach my goal today.â??
