Heart Disease runs in my family, so I'm running to fight Heart Disease.
My mom had a heart attack at age 39, and my dad had a quintuple bypass surgery at age 50. When I started my physical wellness journey in 2020, it was with the knowledge that I needed to start NOW to take control, because my family history mean I'm 'at-risk.'
I did the virtual Heart Mini 5K in 2020 with my dad, and ran a 53ish minute race in 2025. I'm excited to run with my dad again, now that I've been training my cardio for the last year, and to see my time improve. Your support in this effort is greatly appreciated.
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this.
Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death.
It's time to unite, take action, and save lives. Every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
I Run to Save Lives. Help me reach my goal today.
