2026 Cincinnati Heart Mini-Marathon & Walk
Team Oblinger
In 2005, when he was only 20 years old, Kurt Oblinger received a heart transplant which saved his life. Kurt spent as much time as possible making a difference in our community and he worked very closely with the AHA to help raise awareness and funds to support their cause.
Kurt founded Team Oblinger to honor the memory of his brother, Keith, who died at age 26 in a car accident the day before Kurt found out he needed a heart transplant. Like Kurt, Keith had been diagnosed with congestive heart disease when he was 20; however, he recovered with medication.
Unfortunately, Kurt died of heart failure on April 24, 2011 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus. Team Oblinger continues to raise awareness and funds to help support the cause of the AHA and to carry on the tradition for Keith and Kurt.
We walk in memory and to honor Keith and Kurt and to support the amazing work of the AHA!
